Hampstead Basement Water Damage

The burst pipe in this Hampstead basement was the result of a frozen line. The water flowed undetected for some hours. When discovered, our customers called us to restore their home to its preloss condition. Basements are the storage area for personal possessions, toys, and some irreplaceable items. Our SERVPRO team works hard to arrive quickly and extract the pooling water even as we relocate some of the content to a dry area. Once the pooling water has been removed, we can strategically place dehumidifiers, axial fans, and centrifugal air movers to expedite the removal of surface moisture and excess water vapor. The furnace and heavy washing appliances can be salvaged. The After Photo depicts a section of the basement, now dry, even the concrete pad and cinder block foundation walls, which took several days to accomplish. We understand that returning standard moisture levels to all the building elements and possessions is crucial to preventing future losses or mold growth.
